Deze design klassieker ‘Timor 69’ bureaulamp is in de jaren ’50 ontworpen door de beroemde architect en designer Louis Kalff en is geproduceerd door Philips in de jaren 60. De lamp is gemaakt van messing en is één van de UFO-vormige lampen van Kalff. Philips label in de voet gestanst. De lamp is in goede vintage staat en heeft enkele ouderdomssporen in de steel en een deukje in kap (zie foto’s).

The ‘Timor 69′ table lamp is one of the designs Louis Kalff made for Philips in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The lamp was designed in the 50s, but produced in the 60s. It is a surprisingly large and imposing desk lamp with a simple and elegant design, a dark green metal base and shade, and a stem in patinated brass. Louis Kalff was a Dutch industrial designer who played a major role in the Dutch modernist design movement. Kalff’s work is characterised by its simple, functional design and use of new materials and technologies. He was one of the first designers to use metal and plastic in lighting fixtures. Today, Louis Kalff is remembered as one of the most important figures in the Dutch modernist design movement, and his work continues to be highly prized by collectors and enthusiasts around the world. His designs are considered to be timeless. In very nice vintage condition with minor wear on the stem and a little dent in the shade, as can be seen on the pictures.
